Stuyvesant Robotics Showcase

Winter Garden

Stuyvesant High School’s award-winning Robotics team cultivate skills in engineering, programming, marketing, teamwork, and leadership. At this event, students will demonstrate their robotic designs, educating and inspiring people of all ages about the wonders of science and technology.

StuyPulse, along with their sister teams, StuyFission and StuyFusion, will be demonstrating their robots in two showcases: the FRC Rapid React Game and the FTC Power Play Game.

FRC Rapid React Game: Like basketball, students will drive life-sized robots to shoot hoops into various hoops for a range of point values.

FTC Power Play Game: With smaller-scale robots, the objective of this game is to get cones on junctions of various heights for a range of point values.

About StuyPulse:

StuyPulse has been around since 2000 and is Stuyvesant High School’s award winning FIRST Robotics team, otherwise known as Team 694. This year, they have won two consecutive regionals and finished as finalists for another, qualifying them for the FRC (FIRST Robotics Competition) World Championships in Houston.

FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is a multi-national non-profit organization that, in the words of its founder, Dean Kamen, seeks to “transform our culture by creating a world where science and technology are celebrated and where young people dream of becoming science and technology heroes.” Through partnerships with local and global businesses, dedicated volunteers with professional backgrounds, and the tireless efforts of students, teachers, and parents, FIRST opens a whole new world for generations of young adults and equips them with the skills to achieve success.
