The spring 2020 virtual season of the Saturday Morning Show has now ended. Thank you for joining us! See you again later this year.
Entertain the little ones at home with our weekly Saturday Morning Show via BFPLNY Instagram Live, as part of the free #BFPLatHome series. We’ll feature performers, classes, and at home tips. SATURDAY, JANUARY 11
10am | Joanie Leeds: Life clicked into place for Joanie Leeds upon realizing that when she was with children, they transformed themselves into amazing creatures of joy, forgetting how to hold back. Seeing the kids get in touch with their true selves gave Joanie a sense of fulfillment that far surpassed playing for adults on the club circuit. The songs that Leeds began turning out reflected this sense that life is a joyful adventure.
11am | Wonderspark Puppets: Founded in 2009 by husband and wife duo Z. Briggs and Chad Williams, WonderSpark Puppets performs for New York City audiences of all ages and is proud to continue the tradition of non-moving-mouth hand puppets, aka “Mister Rogers style.” From birthday parties to libraries, NYC shops and school classrooms, WonderSpark’s flexibility allows them to perform in any space.
SATURDAY, JANUARY 18
10am | Carl Banks: Carl Banks is a melodic nomad, often picking up lyrical ideas from adventures found after scratching the rambling itch. With an open-minded ear for good storytelling and without bias for genre, Carl pools his influences from a wide variety of artists, and is most comfortable with guitar in hand and blues harp in the rack, playing for 1 to 1000.
11am | Magic Evan: Meet the NYC magician who will have your kids falling over with laughter and thanking you for the ‘best time ever!’ Early on in life, Magic Evan was struck by the idea that performing magic was like giving someone a gift: when it’s done right, it can be a truly memorable and remarkable experience. His goal is to have both children and adults leave his shows beaming with delight and having experienced pure astonishment.

10am | Shira Kobren: Shira Kobren’s concerts are always rockin’ interactive extravaganzas! Combining her own original tunes with classics, Shira plays a mix of hand-clap-able, sing-along-able, danceable, always smile-inducing music that has audience members of all ages becoming part of the show.
11am | Jester Jim: This is not your ordinary juggling show!” Kids and adults alike will be talking about Jester Jim’s wild antics for weeks!
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 1
10am |Bilingual Birdies: Bilingual Birdies’ mission is to encourage cross-cultural awareness through our foreign language and live music curriculum. They teach Spanish, French, Mandarin, and English (ESL) through live music, movement, dance, puppetry, and theatre-based games.
11am | Razzle Dazzle: Razzle Dazzle does silly and amazing magic for kids! The alter ego of magician Tanya Solomon, she has performed everywhere from living rooms to the Coney Island Circus Sideshow to the main stage at Webster Hall.

10am | Hopalong Andrew: Former Central Park Ranger Hopalong Andrew rewrites the classic cowboy songs to reflect life as an
urban cowpoke. His interactive music + movement programs are enjoyed by all ages and generations
11am | Harrison the Magician: Join Harry as he explores the worlds of magic & juggling. This show includes juggling with pins, balls,
Chinese yo-yos, comedy magic, and even some mind reading.
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 15
10am | Mils Trills: Mil’s Trills is a Brooklyn-based children’s music project dedicated to creating positive inclusive
experiences that strive to empower and embrace young audiences and families through music.
11am | Seth Dale: Seth Dale’s show combines mentalism, magic, comedy and, most importantly, you. You’ll be at the
center of the action in a completely interactive show.
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 22
10am | Sweetbeatz: Sweetbeatz songbird Meredith Wright leads sweet and soulful, edgy and energetic musical adventures
inspired by the hustle bustle of city life. Her original compositions “charms the kids to their bones”.
11am | Cardone the Magician: Cardone is one of New York’s finest family entertainers and his Magic Show is perfect for all ages and
group gatherings. His specialty is performing a show that has a very high entertainment value, and both adults and kids will find exciting and mystifying!
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 29
10am | Vered: Vered’s voice is lush, her songs funny and poignant, and her upbeat melodies and playful harmonies are reminiscent of a doo-wop band.
11am | Sammie and Tudie: Sammie & Tudie’s show is a thrill ride of fun! Magic and zany, side-splitting comedy for the whole
family to enjoy.
SATURDAY, MARCH 7
10am | Ants on a Log: Ants on a Log will raise your spirits, and consciousness! Their music is smart, outrageously creative, illuminating, and FUN. Prepare yourself for a joyful and unpredictable journey — you are in good hands with Ants on a Log.
11am | Paper Heart Puppets: Paper Heart Puppets and their founder Brad Shur are dedicated to sharing and expanding the art of puppetry.
